Overview

Joining Crown means joining a global leader in the design and manufacture of packaging products. In one of our manufacturing divisions, you’ll be key in packaging household products we use every day. You may develop, fix or fabricate solutions and work within the shop and production departments. Responsibilities

Salary:

Base wage starts at $23.00 to $25.00

Hours:

  • Wissota currently operates under three different shifts; however, this position is for the 1st Shift.  1st shift schedule is Monday to Friday 7 AM to 3 PM.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set Up and operate Laser Marker.
  • Maintain programs and fixtures.
  • Polish tooling and machine parts.
  • In-process inspection of parts.
  • Setup and operate Laser automation.
  • Assist in processing in-coming goods including regrinds.
  • Ability to meet Production Standards. 
  • Maintaining accurate marking.
  • Polish to meet finish requirements.  
  • Perform equipment maintenance. 
  • Pull and sort inventory for shop use. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory 
  • Operate a forklift in a factory setting. 
  • Secondary Operations
  • Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required. 
  • Manufacturing facility experience preferred 
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
  • Purchase required tools in six months
  • Consistently reliable attendance
  • Willingness to work M-F 7 am to 3 pm

Highly Preferred:

  • Physical ability to operate and repair machines.
  • Prolonged periods (up to 4 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and stretching in between breaks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at times.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills & ability to multi-task.
  • Machining skills acquired through work experience and training from Wissota Tool team. 
  • Improvement mindset 
  • Problem solving/critical thinking abilities. 
  • Good oral and written communication skills
