Overview

Job Accountabilities:
- Ensures all safety equipment, guards, and devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rules.
- Performs label design changeover & conveyor cleanouts without creating mixed label issues.
- Locates and diagnosis trouble in production or equipment and corrects to proper specifications.
- Uses a variety of mechanical tools including measuring and testing instruments throughout process and quality checks.
- Clear lines of jammed products in conveyor lines and various other equipment operations via ladders and catwalks.
- Analyze spoilage for cause and take corrective action where possible. React, Record, Report.
- Perform all Preventative Maintenance assignments through proper usage of tools and/or required mechanical processes.
- Able to communicate and work closely with manufacturing Millwrights/ Electricians in troubleshooting to resolve production issues.
- Follows all standard operating procedures.
- Keeps Production Supervisors/Managers informed of operational status of equipment.
- Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized.
- Performs other related duties as required
2 or more years of production experience including at least 1 year of mechanical experience
Ability to read and understand procedures in English. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment in production environment
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may sit, climb or balance, talk & hear. The associate may repetitively lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
