Overview

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operations of one or more automated machines or equipment for the production of aluminum cans
- Must keep lines flowing to ensure that production continues. Notify supervisor/manger of any mechanical failure.
- Accurate and continuous quality checks and recordkeeping required
- Perform visual check of finished goods
- Understand and follow verbal instructions to completion of assigned tasks
- Keeps Production Supervisors/Managers informed of operational status of equipment and production issues
- Follows standard operating procedures. Must work effectively in a team environment
- Operates console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to transfer, and stack cans on finished pallets.
- Reads production schedules and stacking patterns to determine layer arrangement of cans on pallet
- Observes cans moving along conveyor to identify cans and to detect defective cans.
- Turns selector switch on palletizer to control stacking arrangement of cans on pallet.
- Performs quality checks and documents results
- Observe the empty pallets and slip sheets for any defects, debris or foreign object.
- Stops equipment to clear jams..
- May keep record of production and equipment performance.
- Performs other related duties as required
- Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping
- Follow all required environmental, health and safety procedures.
Knowledge of production equipment and mechanical operations in manufacturing environment preferred.
6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred). Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
Ability to read and understand procedures in English.
