JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES *

CROWN, a global Fortune 500 packaging manufacturer, has an immediate opening for a Prepress/Graphics Supervisor in Ambler, Pennsylvania. This state-of-the-art Graphics Studio provides Crown’s Beverage Division and customer base the necessary support and graphics development in one central location. It is designed to be a customer showcase where customers can be educated on the can making process from start to finish. This is a unique opportunity to join our World-Class team. 

As part of the Crown Graphics team, the Prepress Supervisor will manage a team of designers/prepress operators, and the daily workflow through the department. Reporting to the Director of Graphics, the responsibilities for this role will include the following:

• Managing the day-to-day Graphic Studio staff production workflow and timelines, as well as the administrative duties.
• Coordinates activities by scheduling the daily workflow assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of Graphics Team, with the appropriate staff personnel.
• Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
• Plans and directs highly technical graphic arts prepress and production activities.
• Drive quality and continuous improvement for the team, and the overall graphics process.
• Consult with customers, providing technical support and education on metal decoration.
• Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.

JOB REQUIREMENTS *

We are seeking an experienced individual for this opportunity with the desire to drive continuous improvement.  Requirements include the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts or a related field preferred.   Minimum of an Associates or Technical training in Graphics Arts is required.
• Successful work history with minimum of 5 years’ experience in the graphics/prepress field
• In-depth understanding and experience in color separation and offset printing process
• Superior skills with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills
• Experience and skilled in color matching and proofing
• Meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to develop and follow standard operating procedures
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask while meeting deadlines
• Effective communication skills, administrative ability, and team building attributes
• Must work effectively in a team environment, and be self-driven with ability to work independently
• Knowledge of Esko packaging workflows and solutions is a plus
• Limited domestic travel may be required
