Crown, a global Fortune 500 packaging manufacturer, has an immediate opening for a Vice President, Sales & Marketing for our North American Beverage Division. The Vice President will lead all sales and marketing initiatives for the Division leading a team of sales key accounts for the business, collaborating sales and marketing activities with the customer. Success in this position requires management of cross-functional relationships including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, Quality, R&D, Logistics and Accounting. This position will serve as a key contact of the Division to the customer projecting a strong positive image of the Company.  Reporting to the President, the responsibilities for this role will include the following:

  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships that position CROWN as a strategic partner.
  • Lead and develop Beverage Sales Team
  • Management of the customer relationships, including new business opportunities, maintenance of existing business, new product launches, strategic partnership development, etc.
  • Develop strategic plans with the account that address customer needs & build cross-functional relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Develops and executes national account sales strategy with accountability for attaining business growth and profit objectives.
  • Ensures that strategy and objectives are aligned with overall company objectives
  • Maximize account penetration to generate sale & profit.
  • Communicate business developments that influence the business climate at the account.
  • Continually gather, analyze and provide competitive information

We are seeking a high-potential individual for this opportunity with the desire and ability to advance within the organization. Requirements include the following:

  • BA/BS degree in business, packaging or a related discipline. MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years in a sales management role, in support of a rigid packaging manufacturing industry. Experience with products in the Beverage portfolio is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success working with CPG’s on a national / global level and a strong history in the development of existing and new accounts
  • Experience, in presenting/interacting with corporate customer level, and plant level
  • Experience in customer forecasting, accounts receivable, claims resolution, and other account management responsibilities
  • Experience working with all disciplines in an organization, including engineering, manufacturing, R&D, sourcing and finance
  • Proven ability to communicate and coordinate innovation projects
  • Superior oral and written communication skills as well as proven presentation skills
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to completion
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Well organized and detail oriented with outstanding time management skills
  • Ability to effectively use analytical or theoretical approaches to problem solving
  • Complete understanding of the Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Access)
  • Travel is estimated at 40-50%
