This position will be based out of our Corporate headquarters in Tampa, FL
Position Overview:
The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the division quality systems, as well as supporting manufacturing sites during equipment installation and audits. This role involves close collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and the Quality teams at the corporate and plant levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain Quality Systems for the Food NA Division, including Quality Assurance and SPC, Customer Complaints, Supplier Quality Assurance, HFI, and Traceability systems.
- Lead onsite installation, qualification and service of new quality equipment, computers, and software.
- Work with vendors and plants to ensure proper and timely service and calibration of quality equipment.
- Perform risk assessments of quality systems and provide guidance to the plants on quality equipment purchases to mitigate risks.
- Maintain regular contact with vendors and suppliers and stay informed of new equipment and tools that could be beneficial to the division.
- Support internal and external audits, identify areas for improvement, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Support plant personnel and Senior Quality Managers during root cause investigations.
- Collaborate with plant quality leaders to identify best practices and implement standard work to improve quality results.
- Create reports on various business metrics, such as customer complaints, for other functions within the organization.
- Work with the IT department during the development of new business applications, system upgrades, and the rollout of security measures.
- Develop training materials regarding SPC, measurement equipment, and other quality systems.
- Train plant personnel and team members on SPC, quality systems, and the operation of quality equipment.
- Mentor team members who support quality systems.
- BS degree in a technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with quality systems managing capability.
- Experience in SQL database management and familiarity with SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Project management experience.
- Lean/Six Sigma training and thorough understanding of gauge studies, such as Gauge R&R.
- Experience managing vendors and suppliers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools, such as SharePoint 365, Power BI, and Teams.
- Proficiency building Excel and/or Power BI reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The associate may lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

- Will be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting in a plant environment as well as in an office.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
- The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
