Position Overview:

Crown, a global Fortune 500 packaging manufacturer, has an immediate opening for a Director of Contracts & Pricing in the North American Food Division.   The Director of Contracts & Pricing is responsible for all contracts and pricing systems, as well as supporting supply agreements, etc. This role reports directly to the Vice President, Sales Food Packaging North America.

Primary Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Executive Team, this individual will have a wide range of responsibilities including the following:

  • Assist in the preparation of all new customer contracts, amendments, and proposals as required by the Food Division Management Team.  This will involve a close working relationship with a variety of departments within Crown
  • Maintain the Food Division's contract files
  • Calculation and implementation of the Food Division's aluminum pricing programs for our customers and well as preparing and issuing quarterly reconciliations
  • Calculating and implementing all "non-metal" pricing changes as specified in the Company's supply agreements in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinating programs as requested by our Food customers in collaboration with the Company's Metals Purchasing Group.  Monitor and reconcile the results of those programs
  • Manage all aspects of accrual process and distribution of allowances
  • Issue all customer allowances, rebate checks, and credits in an accurate and timely manner as specified in the supply agreements
  • Work with specific manufacturing locations to conduct annual reviews and audits in support of key customer accounts

We are seeking a high-potential individual for this opportunity with the desire and ability to advance within the organization.  Requirements include the following:

  • BA/BS degree in business, accounting or a related discipline. MBA is a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing.   Knowledge and experience in either the Metals and/or Rigid Packaging Industries preferred. 
  • Working knowledge in the areas of Pricing, Accounting and Finance. 
  • Experience in in the administration of corporate contracts
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to effectively compose, write, edit and proofread business correspondence, contracts, proposals and management reports
  • Complete understanding of the Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access)
  • Ability to effectively use analytical or theoretical approaches to problem solving
  • Well organized and detail oriented with outstanding time management skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as proven presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects to completion
  • Self-motivated and eager to take the initiative; with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and as an individual

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  
  • The associate may lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
