Overview

Responsibilities
Location:
Plant 84 is in Owatonna, MN.
Position Overview:
To support efficient palletizing and material flow by maintaining equipment, ensuring quality standards, and assisting with warehouse operations to keep production running smoothly.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Maintain a steady supply of materials to machines and ensure all materials meet quality standards.
- Ensure pallets are properly aligned and clear any jams.
- Sort pallet inventory and separate defective pallets.
- Perform electronic inspection at the start of each shift; report any issues to the shift supervisor, tag out the lift, and place in the forklift room.
- Refill strappers with banding material and monitor pallet flow through lower conveying; check and document band tension once per shift.
- Inspect and transport finished pallets to the warehouse; report any defects.
- Replace missing cans or bands on pallets before moving them to the warehouse.
- Maintain cleanliness in the lower conveying area.
- Assist in other areas to support smooth can flow through the plant.
- Scan all production to the correct bay and ensure P.O. numbers are accurate.
- Complete daily cleaning tasks and sign off on the checklist.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of safety standards and processes.
- Ability to learn and drive forklift in a safe manner.
- Attention to detail to notice and correct/report errors, ensuring high-quality output.
- Ability to understand entire end line process, materials used, and customer specifications.
- Problem solving skills through an individual and collaborative approach.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
