Overview

Division Overview:

Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. Location:  Olympia, WA

Wages:  Union Contract: $46.9947/ hour

Benefits: The Crown Plan offers employees a comprehensive, high-quality Medical Program, dental, and vision as well as a Prescription Drug Program. New employees become eligible for benefits under the Plan the 1st of the month following one full month of employment and must enroll within 30 days of your eligibility date to have coverage for the remainder of the current Plan year (January 1 through December 31).

Under the union contract this position also includes a union pension and will more than likely be a night shift position based on seniority, 6pm to 6am.

Accountabilities:

  • Crown Beverage Packaging is currently seeking a qualified Electrician in our industrial manufacturing facility located in Olympia, Washington. 
  • This position will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install electrical/electronic systems within this high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility.
  • Responsibilities include following all local, state, and federal electrical codes. 
  • Documentation of problems and maintenance of equipment, operation and safety precautions. 
  • Responsibilities also include installing and maintaining new and existing electrical wiring within the facility as well as working safely at all times. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of electrical shop and job sites, while practicing appropriate safety procedures. 
  • Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.  This position may also require climbing or balancing. 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess the following: 

  • High school graduate with electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment or applicable education. (Trade school, apprenticeship, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, sensors, controls and computer technology.
  • Ability to read, interpret and create electrical diagrams.
  • An applied understanding of the NEC and general electrical safety.
  • Strong team player and ability to function well and work safely with other people.
  • Working knowledge of single and three phase systems up to 480 volts.
  • Solid understanding of systematic troubleshooting.
  • Committed to working safely.
  • Reliable, proactive and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, (either day or night).  The position being offered may be a night shift position after training.   

Working Conditions

  • Generally works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic 
  • May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures based on the outside temperatures
  • The noise level is frequently loud
