Overview

DIVISION OVERVIEW:
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. LOCATION:
Crown is building a brand new manufacturing facility in Mesquite, NV. This state-of-the-art facility will manufacture specialty beverage cans for some of the top consumer product companies. We are in the process of assembling a world class team of individuals to operate this facility and are looking for a Palletizer Operator.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include:
- Operates automatic Palletizer/De-palletizer equipment within the plant.
- Ensures quality of finished package to include: cans placed correctly on pallets per customer order, manually insert cans to complete proper layer patterns, removes minor jams and reports major jams and/or irregularities to Maintainer or Supervisor
- Ability to recognize can defects; follows procedure for defect recognition and communication, collects and documents information on cans (50 per hour)
- Communicates timely and effectively; advises lift driver when supplies are needed and to remove defective supplies.
- Maintains log of production and/or downtime, spoilage as required.
- Using computerized system, makes label (tickets) for pallets
- Performs preventative maintenance and Housekeeping to include cleaning the Palletizer, plungers and fingers.
- Knowledge of measurements and specifications of cans.
- Successfully follows all standard operating procedures; company policies and procedures; good attendance is required.
- Ensures compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) at all times
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports all problems to supervision.
- Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
- Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D preferred
- 1-2 year(s) experience in inspecting/packaging and high speed manufacturing environment.
- Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.

Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

- The team member is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

- While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
- The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures especially in the summer and winter months
- The noise level is frequently loud
