Overview

Responsibilities
Position Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Technician performs duties required to maintain the building, grounds, and plant facilities. Job will include general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and other building systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects and troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Plans repair work using blueprints and manuals as needed.
- Ability to identify proper tool for a job and utilize tool safely.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on building systems.
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance to facility HVAC systems.
- Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Maintains necessary records.
- Performs monthly safety checks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned toensure efficient operation of the facility (including but not limited to, hanging pictures, unclogging drains and toilets, painting, moving furniture, etc.).

Minimum Requirements:
- Trade school and/or apprenticeship in maintenance preferred.
- 3-5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Light machining skills.
- Ensuring that all safety, health and environmental concerns are considered when doing work and interfacing with EHS to complete documentation of safe work as necessary.
- Ensuring that corporate and plant quality policies and procedures are followed in the performance of job duties and responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The associate must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
