Overview

Responsibilities

Candidates will assemble and knock down cartons and stack cartons.  They will seal cartons after they are filled with finished caps and attached packaging slips to each cartons.  They will build loads according to specifications and secure top layer of each load.  They will obtain and position pallets at production lines assigned.  They will maintain clean work area and maintained quality standards prescribed by management and do other work assigned by management.  May be required to work in other departments and also on related jobs.  They will carry out simple verbal and written instructions as needed, able to perform manual tasks such as assembly and sealing at a steady pace where accuracy and dexterity are required.  Employee needs to be able to do frequent walking to various lines.   


Employee will need to keep cartons/loads in front of them and be able to position themselves properly without stretching or straining.  Employee must be able to wear protective, OSHA approved, safety glasses (with side shields protection) to protect your eyes against flying debris present in the air.  Must be able to wear OSHA approved hearing protections to prevent hearing loss.  Hearing protection is required in the production areas.  Employee must be able to wear protective gloves to protect their hands and fingers against cuts and scrapes.  Employee must take the time to stretch their arms, hands and fingers in between groups of cartons while walking from line to line.  Stretching gives your muscles a chance to relax and will help avoid cramping.  Employee will fold the label and peel the backing off and place label on the cartons.  Employee must be able to use a Uni-Move, use proper lifting technique to stack cartons on the pallet.  Employee must not walk on, over or across any pallets or conveyors.  Always walk around to avoid any trip hazards.  Must be able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.  Must be able to lift up to 50lbs (Pounds) on a frequent basis.  

Salary Range - $19.86 - $22.07 per hour
